About Citizens for Engaged Communities

Sherry Dutton
Sherry Dutton has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 10 years.  In addition to her role at Citizens for Engaged Communities, she also works as a development officer at the North Carolina Center for Voter Education and is an adjust instructor in Political Science at NC State University. She has worked with the American Red Cross providing tracing services to refugees during the Crisis in Kosovo and worked in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Bosnia providing emergency services to deployed military personnel. She has also served as the Vice President for Development at Lutheran Family Services in the Carolinas and was a State Executive Director for Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Dutton also has experience in the education system including her work at the Institute for Nonprofits at NC State University and working in the NC community college system as a program director. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) with over 7 years experience in the field of development and fundraising. Dutton holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Management from the School for International Training and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from UNC-Chapel Hill.

Julie Boudreaux Julie Boudreaux has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 15 years.  In addition to her role at Citizens for Engaged Communities, she is vice-president of the Polish NGO Educational Society of Malopolska in Nowy Sacz, Poland where she also works as a program officer and trainer.  As such she has designed and implemented education and civil society programs throughout South Central and Eastern Europe and former Soviet Union.   She has experience in both the Polish and American Education systems, having taught at an independent high school run by the Polish NGO, a Community College in Nowy Sacz as well as a public elementary school in Harvey, Louisiana and a private middle school in Metairie, Louisiana.  She is Certified in Montessori and created a Montessori class in a Polish kindergarten.  Boudreaux holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from the School for International Training, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor's Degree in French both from the University of New Orleans, Louisiana.
